HawkScan (“HawkScan”, “we”, “us”) operates hawkscan.trade, an AI-powered chart-analysis tool for traders. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with. If you have questions, contact us at contact@hawkscan.trade.

1. Information we collect

• Account information — name, email address, and a securely hashed password when you sign up directly. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google instead.
• Profile photo — if you choose to upload one or paste an image link, otherwise we show a colored initial instead.
• Uploaded charts — images you upload to be analyzed. These are sent to our AI provider to generate your analysis; we do not retain the uploaded image files on our servers afterward.
• Payment information — subscription and top-up purchases are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we retain only the transaction amount and date for your billing history.
• Usage information — your plan, remaining credits, and login sessions. Your analysis history itself is kept in your own browser’s local storage, not on our servers, so it is tied to the device and browser you used rather than your account.
• Cookies — a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We don’t use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

2. How we use this information

We use the information above to:

• Create and secure your account, and let you sign in.
• Generate the chart analysis you request.
• Process subscription and credit top-up payments.
• Send you transactional emails — a welcome message, password-reset links, and replies to messages you send us. We don’t send marketing email.
• Respond to support requests sent via our contact form.
• Keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

3. Who we share it with

We don’t sell your information. We share the minimum necessary data with:

• Our AI provider (currently DeepSeek) — receives the chart images you upload, solely to generate your analysis.
• Stripe — processes payments and handles your card details directly; we never see the full number.
• Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google, to verify your identity.
• We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of HawkScan or our users.

4. Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you want your account deleted, contact us at contact@hawkscan.trade and we’ll remove it. Because analysis history lives in your browser’s local storage rather than our database, clearing your browser data or switching devices will also clear it on our end.

5. Security

Passwords are hashed (never stored in plain text), and sensitive credentials in our own systems are encrypted at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

6. Children

HawkScan is a trading-analysis tool and is not directed at, or intended for use by, anyone under 18.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post the revised version here with an updated date at the top.
